Traveling Teacher Parking

Throughout Midland Public Schools, traveling teachers move from one building to the next to teach our students in multiple subject areas. When you see designated Traveling Teacher Parking signs, those spaces must be left open for teachers. Some classes, like band, start near the end of the school day. If the designated spaces are full, classes will not begin on time. Please be courteous by ensuring traveling teachers have a parking space.

Carnival—Things to Note: Wristbands are offered at a discounted price if purchased between February 28 and March 8 using Zeffy. The wristbands purchased during the pre-sale will be sent home on March 11. The benefits of purchasing wristbands early are that they are discounted, and you will not have to wait in line on the day of the event, March 14. Wristbands are only needed for students participating in the games. (Parents do not need them, and kids three and under do not need them.)

The Carnival will be CASH ONLY for wristbands and food from the Carnival Concessions at the event.

Midland Public Schools Flyer Board

Schools receive many requests to share flyers about student and community activities. Midland Public Schools maintains a flyer board to share this information with families. Please follow the link below to access the flyer board.

Lost and Found

Please label your child's belongings to help us return them promptly to their owners. Any unclaimed items will be donated at the end of each semester. We encourage students to check the lost and found regularly, as we have accumulated many misplaced items, including jackets, water bottles, lunch boxes, and other personal belongings.

Reporting Absences - A Reason is Needed

Parents/Guardians can report student(s) absent via ParentVUE. This feature appears as a blue "Report Absences" button on the app's main page or website.

For each absence reported, parents/guardians must provide a reason. If you report your student as sick, please list the symptoms your student is experiencing. The note will help school attendance staff select the correct attendance code. If no reason is provided the absence will not be excused.

Parents/Guardians can report absences for a single day or multiple days.

Report each student individually. Do not enter additional students in the notes section.

If you have a legal or medical document, please upload it with the absence or provide it to the school attendance staff upon your student's return. Parents/guardians can still call to report an absence at 989-923-6037.
